About Me

I am a wife and mother of 3 incredible young adults!  My life is a journey filled with unexpected twists and turns but through it all I love it.  I love that I’m blessed with the most amazing supportive family!

My husband and I have been running our own business for 23 years.  The business allowed for me to be a stay at home mom, homeschooling all three of them and pursue my  passions.

Through the loss of my mom and with the encouragement of a friend I took on the challenge of participating in The Weekend to End Breast Cancer (60k walk over 2 days)!  I participated in the event for a number of years and all the walking eventually turned into running. I love it!! It’s so therapeutic for me and rewarding for me.

I am a goal oriented person.  I set goals, I work hard to achieve them and then I set new goals. I have discovered that I love to be challenged, I love to push hard and feel accomplished and empowered when I get out for a run and the conditions are less then perfect (rain, snow, minus stupid weather, etc.)  I trained for my first marathon in 2013, this was huge for me.  Running for 3 and 4 hours week after week seemed insane, yet I was out there, doing it.  More than that, I was out there doing it and loving it!  I’ve since ran 6 marathons, the Niagara Ultra (50K), the Bad Beaver Ultra (3 day stage race/150km) twice, the Grand to Grand Ultra (273km/6 stages) and in 2017 I set a goal of running 100km race and I finished three!!

I am extremely grateful for the amazing people that running has introduced me to! Friends that are more like family!
